At tonight’s New York Tech Meetup, we’re excited to premiere the latest product of our partnership: This video in support of companies conceived and coded right here in New York. We asked folks like Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Tumblr’s own founder and CEO David Karp what it means to be “Made in New York.” Here’s what they had to say.

Thanks again to everyone involved, and we hope you enjoy!

Connecting the Women of NYC Technology

We have a kick-ass group of members who are very eager to help and share their knowledge and experiences. This is a no-pressure, casual group—no dinner, no presentations. It’s really all about making lasting and meaningful connections with brilliant people.

So far, this group has allowed us all to learn about more events in the city, meet new people, and find other women who are interested in attending (normally male-dominated) meetups. Some have even found connections for new companies or open positions.
